Correction of an Underbite

This patient presented with an underbite: the upper teeth are inside of the lower teeth. Due to the severity of the underbite, it was corrected with a combination of orthodontics and surgery. Not only did the treatment result in a functional occlusion, but also a more esthetic and balanced facial appearance.

Correction of Open Bite

This patient has an anterior open bite, where the upper and lower teeth do not contact. This open bite resulted from a thumb-sucking habit. The malocclusion was corrected using a habit-breaking appliance as well as full braces. Not only did treatment result in the patient no longer sucking her thumb, but ultimately in a great functional and aesthetic outcome.
